The media “narrative” is fairly transparent to most of us by now. They simply lie over and over again, in hopes that it will work like a form of voodoo to transform what’s really in your mind and in front of your lying eyes. (“Hillary didn’t have a seizure!”)
Another major shift in the media narrative has happened this week, however. They’re starting to acknowledge that Donald Trump won’t be leaving the White House on Inauguration Day. I wonder what could have given them that idea?
The prevailing narrative since Election Day has been, “Why won’t Donald Trump just give up, because there is no way that he can beat us?” That’s the overarching narrative. In relation to the fraud, the narrative has been extremely flexible, due to mountains of evidence piling up.
It started out as, “Voter fraud is a myth!”
That quickly morphed into, “Well, sure, fraud happens in every election, but it’s not widespread!”
As evidence from multiple states poured in, the narrative became, “Well, sure, widespread fraud happens in every election, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the outcome!”
A few days ago, the narrative changed to, “Neener-neener! Electoral college voted! Take that, Trumpers, it’s too late!”
This constant drumbeat has been designed to put social pressure on President Trump and more importantly, on some of the people surrounding him in the White House. The forces of evil want Trump and the people around him to lose heart. Their greatest desire is for Ivanka or Jared or someone close to Trump to walk into the Oval Office and tell him:
“It’s time to be a good little Republican gimp and curl up in a fetal position and surrender. Why can’t you just be a regular establishment Republican and quit, even though well over 70% of the nation realizes that this election was a fraud and you totally won by a lot?”
I can’t speak for the massive staff inside the White House, but many of the closest people to the president are not falling for this. Melania Trump made her annual trip to Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC to read Christmas stories to hospitalized kids this week. Naturally, the media moaned about her not wearing a mask during story time. But what Melania said about this annual event was interesting.
She says she looks forward to doing it again. You know… because she’ll still be the First Lady for another four years!
Now we have a major shift away from the “Trump should just give up” narrative. The media seems to have realized that Trump is not going to submit to their “But the process is on rails and there’s nothing he can do about it” antics. Here’s the headline from Business Insider:
“Trump has threatened not to leave the White House on Inauguration Day, report says.”
Oooh! A report!
This makes it sound super-official to people who just skim headlines, doesn’t it? A report!
Tell us, Business Insider, what venerated agency has issued this “report?” Was it the Department of Transportation? The CIA? The Coast Guard?
If you actually read the article, you quickly conclude that this is a “report” from CNN, based once again on the media’s favorite anonymous sources inside the White House. (Jared. It’s Jared.)
This is a major shift. It would have made their jobs so much easier if Trump had just fallen for their BS and quit. But now that Trump is not cooperating with the same people who squawked for four straight years about Russian collusion and Ukraine phone calls and two-scoops-of-ice-cream outrage, they’re shifting back to Plan A: “Call him Hitler! Let’s see if that works!”
They’re now going to tell us that Trump’s actions are destroying norms, that he’s tearing down institutions and that what he’s doing is unprecedented. But in fact, it’s the scope and scale of the fraud that is unprecedented. They may have switched between 8 and 10 million votes for Donald Trump to Joe Biden in this election.
Joe Biden’s “acceptance speech” after the Electoral College votes were cast this week had a mere 4,000 viewers on C-SPAN. Four-thousand! But Trump and everyone else should believe that it was totally natural for Joe Biden to receive 80 million votes? Nothing weird about that!
I’m not surprised at all to learn that President Trump has no plans to leave the White House on Inauguration Day. The thing that would surprise me would be if Joe Biden has not conceded the election by then.
