Is Tucker Carlson Doomed?

Last Friday night, millions of Americans quietly kicked their tires, oiled and loaded their guns, and double-checked their bugout bags. The reason? Brian Kilmeade was on Fox News for the 8 p.m. EST time slot. The Cold Civil War that we’re currently in came closer to becoming a Hot Civil War that night than many of us will ever realize. Millions of patriotic Americans wondered if it was time to go hot – because Tucker Carlson was suddenly off the air.

Fortunately, Tucker was just out fishin’. We can all stand down now, because Tucker promises us this was a planned vacation and he’ll be back soon.

Carlson had good reason to take a night off and celebrate. The 2020 second quarter primetime television ratings had just come out.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” set an all-time record for April, May and June of this year. His hour-long show averaged 4.33 million viewers every single night for three months straight – something that not even Sean Hannity or Bill O’Reilly were ever able to accomplish. To put that into perspective, Tucker Carlson’s audience during the one hour that he’s on the air is more than twice as big as the combined CNN audiences of Wolf Blitzer, Erin Burnett, Fredo, Anderson Cooper, and Don Lemon.

Back in early June, Carlson solidified his position as a truth-telling defender of the American middle class by correctly declaring Black Lives Matter to be a terrorist group that doesn’t care at all about the lives of regular black people. Carlson also said – truthfully – that “white supremacy” in America is a hoax.

That started a massive exodus of corporate sponsors from his program. The woke, social-justice supporting companies that paid millions of dollars to advertise their products and services to Tucker Carlson’s audience – which means me and probably you – abandoned the show.

Over a 48-hour period in June, all of the companies on the list below showed their utter contempt for Tucker Carlson, America, and you. Nothing illustrates the suicide pact of “woke” politics better than this example. Here are Tucker Carlson’s former sponsors:

  • Disney
  • T-Mobile
  • Papa John’s
  • Jackson Hewitt Tax Service
  • SmileDirectClub
  • Angie’s List
  • Furniture outlet Vari
  • Poshmark
  • ProActiv

In case anyone had any doubt as to the reason, T-Mobile sent this message out on its official Twitter channel:

“Bye-Bye Tucker! #BlackLivesMatter”

“The Big Bang Theory” was the number one sitcom in America for a bunch of years in a row. During its most popular season, 17 million weekly viewers tuned in to watch it. Tucker Carlson, by comparison, is drawing 21.6 million weekly viewers. Maybe that’s an apples to oranges comparison, but the fact remains that if you wanted your company to get the most bang for its buck and to reach the largest possible audience on cable right now, you would advertise on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Instead, the woke corporate boards at Disney, T-Mobile and Papa John’s decided it would be a better idea to wipe their rear ends with the Constitution and the American flag before spitting in your face. You should remember the names of the companies that abandoned America like this in a time of crisis – and you should never give any of them another dime. By abandoning Tucker Carlson, they’ve stated that they don’t care about Tucker Carlson’s audience – which means likeminded Americans like you. We can make our own pizza at home, thanks very much.

The good news in all of this is that the woke corporate board at Fox News, which includes idiots and Never Trumpers like former House Speaker Paul Ryan, has chosen to support Tucker Carlson despite the mob threats and the social justice cancelers. Unlike T-Mobile, they’re smart enough to not kill the goose that’s been laying golden eggs for them since November of 2016.

The cancellations of people on the right have been terrible this year, and it’s all related to the election this November (naturally). YouTube just canceled Stephan Molyneux’s channel. He had a million subscribers on the #1-rated philosophy show in the world, and more than 300 million people have viewed his videos. But he didn’t support the BLM terrorists, so he’s canceled. Laura Loomer has raised more money than the other seven combined challengers in the Republican primary in Florida’s 21st District for Congress – and she still can’t have a Twitter account because she made fun of Nancy Pelosi last year.

Tucker Carlson hasn’t been canceled yet. And that’s a good thing, because he’s one of the few remaining voices with a national platform that we have on the right. He deserves our continued support – and so do any sponsors that are brave enough to come forward and advertise on his show right now.
