Democrats Don’t Believe Black Jobs Matter

Democrats are furious over President Donald Trump’s foreign work visa temporary ban that would give African-Americans an opportunity to secure jobs before non-citizens steal them, again.

Since declaring his presidential run in 2015, President Trump has repeatedly promised to put Americans first — all Americans — and Black citizens have enjoyed the highest employment rates in recorded history. In 2019, Democrat presidential hopefuls swarmed African-American voters in Detroit wanting an answer to a single question. What do Black voters want?

“First is job growth. African-American businessman Brandon Brice reportedly said. “Even though I don’t like (President Trump’s) rhetoric, the economy is doing better for Blacks. That’s a fact. Also, education reform. We’re not talking enough about the sort of education it will take to succeed in the 21st century.”

Such answers apparently fell on deaf ears because Democrat lawmakers are fuming over President Trump’s executive order to ban foreign work visas until every American has a job. Liberal elites with support of Washington, D.C., lawmakers have voiced their opposition about having to hire Black Americans before immigrants.

“Immigration has contributed immensely to America’s economic success, making it a global leader in tech, and also Google the company it is today,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai reportedly tweeted. “Disappointed by today’s proclamation — we’ll continue to stand with immigrants and work to expand opportunity for all.”

Ironically, the tech giant—who is under investigation for antitrust litigation by the U.S. Department of Justice—has a unique opportunity to fill positions with African-Americans. Other online leaders have also backed Google in an effort to leave Black citizens behind.

“This proclamation undermines America’s greatest economic asset: its diversity,” Twitter’s Jessica Herrera-Flanigan reportedly stated. “Unilaterally and unnecessarily stifling America’s attractiveness to global, high-skilled talent is short-sighted and deeply damaging to the economic strength of the United States.”

Liberal corporations such as Tesla, Microsoft, and Amazon, all stood staunchly against putting American workers first. But perhaps Microsoft president Brad Smith emphasized the left’s anti-American worker sentiment the best when he said, “Immigrants are contributing to this country at a time when we need them most.”

The hard data shows that Democrats have lied to Black voters for decades. During the Obama-Biden administration, African-Americans suffered a staggering employment gap. From 2009 to 2010, Black unemployment towered over other Americans running highs of 15 to 16.8 percent. Despite the financial crisis, the country’s average rate was in single digits.

Since President Trump took office, African-American have enjoyed an all-time low unemployment rate of 5.4 percent with the country at 3.5 percent. For the first time in recent memory, Black workers had closed the employment gap to under two points. Since the pandemic put tens of millions of Americans out of work, Black workers are steadily getting their jobs back. Although African-American unemployment has fallen from 16.7 to 15.4 percent in two months, ensuring economic opportunity is essential.

A recent Rasmussen report indicated that 2-in-3 Black citizens support President Trump’s executive order to secure jobs for Americans first. Democrats argue that Americans are unwilling to take certain jobs. However, according to the findings, 65 of “Americans would take those jobs if pay and working conditions were improved.” This statistic is a far cry from the 51 percent of self-identified liberals’ who said Black Americans are not “willing.”

If Democrats win the November elections, Black families will once again lose their incomes.
