There is so much news flying under the radar right now that it’s chilling. Big, important stories are going completely unnoticed because we’re all scared of the invisible enemy.
By all means, do what you need to stay healthy and protect your family. No one is begrudging you that, but if quarantines are giving you any extra time to fill, it’s important to stay informed as to what is going on in the world. Here’s your first hint.
Outside of the west, coronavirus is not the primary concern. Instead, most of the world is very, very worried about China. They’re up to no good, and using the distraction of coronavirus to distract everyone from what they are doing.
One of the most extreme cases is with Indonesia. When you hear that China is invading Indonesia, you might think it’s hyperbolic. It’s not at all.
You’ve probably heard before stories about China pushing past its recognized territories in the South China Sea. International agreements say that Chinese vessels aren’t allowed past a certain point. China has repeatedly made it clear that they don’t recognize those agreements, and they push past their sovereignty.
When the U.S. Navy catches China encroaching on other nation’s territories they steer in that direction and put them back in line. This has been going on for decades, and so far, no blood has been shed but China hasn’t stopped either.
As you might have noticed, there’s a major distraction in the world right now. China has noticed, and they’re exploiting it to try to expand their influence around the globe while they can get away with it. They’ve pushed into Indonesian fishing waters before, but this time is a bit different. China didn’t’ just send fishing ships into Indonesian territory (which is already a violation of agreements). They backed those fishing ships with warships. They’re outright seizing Indonesian territory right now. Most of all, they feel emboldened by reports of a U.S. Navy being weakened by Covid-19.
You see, this ties back to the naval captain who was recently relieved of command. When Brett Crozier raised a warning about spreading sickness on the USS Theodore Roosevelt, he didn’t just send concern up the chain of command. He was out of line because he made his concerns public and harmed our national interest. If enemies believe a carrier is out of commission because of disease, they might be inclined to attack — or at least push their claims on Indonesian territory.
Can we all finally admit that the communist government in China is the most antagonistic and evil force in the world? They aren’t just infringing on another nation. They aren’t just doing it while bigger powers are preoccupied with cleaning up a global pandemic. They’re doing it in the midst of chaos they created when they deliberately tried to spread a deadly disease to every corner of the globe.
It’s long past time the United States put China back in its place once and for all. After this coronavirus mess, the rest of the west might finally be ready to do their part.
