Hillary Takes a Swipe at Candidate Tulsi Gabbard over Long Running Feud Stemming from 2016 Election

Presidential hopeful Tulsi Gabbard (D—HI) woke up to perhaps the most bizarre smear against her on Sunday. Gabbard was probably even more surprised to hear the smear against her was coming from a woman within her own party—Hillary Clinton.

Clinton went on an unhinged, delusional rant against the Iraq war veteran turned Congresswoman on a podcast over the weekend. Clinton claimed Gabbard was likely a Russian asset who was being “groomed” by the Russians to run as a third party candidate in the 2020 election.

Gabbard, a former Hawaii Army National Guard major who served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, is not one to lie down and take it, she responded to the takedown with a fiery response of her own.

Gabbard claimed Clinton and her Washington insider cronies have crossed the line with their political differences by questioning her loyalty to the United States. She said in a video message, “If they can falsely portray me as a traitor, then they can do it to anyone — and in fact, that’s exactly the message they want to get across to you.”

Several Democrat candidates, including Beto O’Rourke, Marianne Williamson, and Andrew Yang criticized Clinton for making unfounded accusations that Russia is grooming Gabbard to be a spoiler in a third-party race.

Gabbard said of Clinton and her part power brokers, “If you stand up to the rich and powerful elite and the war machine, they will destroy you and discredit your message. But here is the truth: They will not intimidate us. They will not silence us.”

During last week’s New York Times-CNN primary debate, Gabbard called out the Times and CNN for “promoting endless regime change” wars and a propaganda war against her at the same time.

“The New York Times and CNN have smeared veterans like myself for calling for an end to this regime-change war. Just two days ago, The New York Times put out an article saying I’m a Russian asset and an Assad apologist, and all these different smears. This morning, a CNN commentator said on national television that I’m an asset of Russia. Completely despicable.”

CNN host Van Jones chided Clinton for intentionally spreading “disinformation.” He reminded everyone that that former Secretary of State Clinton came out against a “sitting U.S. congresswoman, a decorated war veteran, and someone who’s running for the nomination of our party, with just a complete smear and no facts.”

Jones said Clinton is playing “dangerous game” that is “loaded with backstory.” The backstory Jones is referring to is a long held vendetta Clinton likely has against Gabbard.

Gabbard famously and quite publicly quit as vice chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) before the 2016 election and endorsed Bernie Sanders, and it’s been payback hell ever since.

President Trump must have shaken his head as Clinton reached into her bag of dirty political tricks to smear someone she wants to punish. Like Trump, the Washington Examiner, reports the New York Times is falsely linking Gabbard to alt-right white nationalists.

In an opinion piece for The Washington Examiner, Brad Polumbo mused that Clinton must think that anyone who disagrees with her is a white nationalist. Though progressive, Gabbard agrees with our President on one important matter – our intervention in the Middle East along with the loss of the lives of American troops must end!

The Clinton/Gabbard flap serves as an object lesson for those seeking compromise with a political elitist like Hillary Clinton. Tulsi Gabbard supports gun control and Medicare for all, but she also opposes Clinton’s call for third-term abortions and open borders.

With Hillary Clinton — you’re either for her all the way or you’re out.
