America Needs Smart Pollution Policy, Not Climate Doomsday Hoaxes

The doomsday extremism pushed by today’s radical liberals places a higher degree of danger on the environment because they have been repeatedly proven false and detract from enacting meaningful pollution policies.

Several states have recently targeted products such as plastic straws and shopping bags as the climate devil incarnate. While products that do not biodegrade are certainly an environmental problem, Democrats continually undermine the political process by putting band-aids on gaping environmental wounds that, in turn, fester and infect the Earth’s body.

Ranked among the more embarrassing end-of-world prophesies was the “scientific” research that pointed to the world entering a dark ice age in the 1970s similar to the one that snuffed out the dinosaurs. Ice age theories began cropping up in the early 1900s, and Harper’s Magazine published the definitive research the world was doomed in 1958.

“These two serious, careful scientists — geophysicist Maurice Ewing, director of Columbia University’s Lamont Geological Observatory, and geologist-meteorologist William Donn— believe they have finally found the explanation for the giant glaciers, which four times during the past million years have advanced and retreated over the Earth,” Harper’s stated.

“If they are right, the world is now heading into another Ice Age. It will come not as sudden catastrophe, but as the inevitable culmination of a process that has already begun in northern oceans.”

Of course, the outlandish 60-year-old claim never came true, and Democrats insisted that the end was — again — near, led by Al Gore and his now-debunked An Inconvenient Truth movie in 2006.

Gore’s film, now considered proof of Democrat’s climate change hysteria, predicted cities such as Miami and New York would already be sunk by flooding oceans and ferocious weather that made life unlivable as temperature skyrocketed. The Climate Cult was — again —forced to change horses when nothing happened, and the weather in much of America seemed to be entering a moderate cycle.

Yes, climate does change, and it always has, making Climate Change the latest trending, catch-all slogan conveniently misleading. The doomsday rhetoric being taught as school curriculum around the world is brainwashing youngsters into an age of fear and loathing.

“I want the entirety of Congress — in fact, the whole U.S. government — to remember the fear and despair that my generation lives with every day, and I want you to hold on to it,” European child climate activist Greta Thunberg told Congress.

“How do I even being to convey to you what it feels like to know that within my lifetime, the destruction that we have already seen from the climate crisis will only get worse?”

Her counterpart, Jamie Margolin, put the usual liberal, anti-American spin on Climate Cult prophesies saying it was caused by “Colonialism” and “slavery.” Thunberg went on to say she wants her age group to be known as Generation GND (Green New Deal), after New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ (AOC) faux policy that no Democrat voted to bring into law.

But with radical left-wing politicians such as AOC claiming we’re all going to die — again — in about 12 years, everyday Americans are fast tuning out to the need for smart pollution policy. In fact, the green energy policies pushed by the Obama Administration have blinded many voters to the repercussions of liberal policy.

What most Americans are missing is that the current solar power policy in place has begun a concerning deforestation trend and shutdown of rich farmland.

The George W. Bush-era rebate incentives for putting solar panels on your home or business shifted under Obama to profit-driving solar fields. In the Northeast, forests are being cut down to make way for solar panel fields, which is having a grotesquely negative impact on the environment. In many other parts of the country, struggling farmers are increasingly inclined to rent out food-producing fields to solar companies rather than work the land.

Even left-wing data resources such as Freeing Energy state that it would take 21,250 square miles of land to solar-power the country. The United Nations has repeatedly condemned the 3,000 square miles of Amazon rainforest cut down from 2017-2018, according to the BBC.

Should the U.S. cut down 7-times that amount of its forest to appease the climate change hysterics?!?

What has gone unspoken by much of the left-leaning media is that Obama-era environmental policies are actually harming the planet.

Reactionary moves such as banning plastic straws and bags are ways that the left makes Americans feel as if they are reversing or at least stopping pollution. The data states otherwise. Fact-based reports indicate that upwards of 90 percent of the planet’s plastic pollutants come from Asian and Africa. And, China remains the world’s worst plastic polluter, bar none.

Only an actionable pollution policy that also engages other countries with penalties for devastating the environment can protect the environment. The reality is that Democrat efforts are not the solution, their phony hoaxes and pointing fingers at fellow Americans are the problem.
