Democrat presidential hopeful Kamala Harris and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently introduced “The Climate Equity Act,” a scheme designed to enrich them with radical, left-wing votes today and leave American families picking up the tab later.
The Climate Equality Act follows the classic blueprint of Ponzi schemes used by the likes of Bernie Madoff who financially crippled entire families, stole hundreds of millions, and was sentenced to 150 years in prison. California Sen. Kamala Harris and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are running a basic Ponzi scam that claims it will provide fantastic, immediate returns for your modest investment.
Ocasio-Cortez’s signature Green New Deal was laughed out of the U.S. Senate on a 57-0 vote with ZERO Democrats supporting it, primarily due to its astronomical costs. Some pegged the total cost at trillions over 10 years. But when not a single Democrat supported it during a Senate vote, it was abundantly clear this was nothing more than a scheme to get votes.
Still, Sen. Harris and AOC have a new version that satisfies their party’s extremists and bamboozles low-income Americans that they will see excellent financial and environmental benefits. Like any good con artist, the pitch is, ‘give me something today and you’ll be showered with benefits later.’
“Climate change is an existential threat — it’s critical we act now to achieve a cleaner, safer, and healthier future. But it is not enough to simply cut emissions and end our reliance on fossil fuels. We must ensure that communities already contending with unsafe drinking water, toxic air, and lack of economic opportunity are not left behind,” presidential hopeful Sen. Harris reportedly said.
But what Sen. Harris is not telling the same economically-challenged voters is that there will be not “economic opportunity.” In fact, early vetting of her “Equality” charade demonstrates that scammed voters would be left with a bill that could crush their futures.
An examination by Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) and Power the Future points to households in swing states getting hit with a staggering cost of at least $70,000 each in the first year of the plan’s rollout.
Families in Alaska, Florida, New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania would then take on a cost of $45,000 for up to five more, followed by $37,000 each year. Many of the low-income households Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Harris claim to be advocating for don’t even earn salaries that high.
“The Climate Equity Act ensures that as we go forward to solve our climate crisis, we are focusing on communities most impacted by the crisis and the transition to renewable energy,” AOC reportedly stated.
But what makes matters even worse is that CEI and Power the Future could only glimpse portions of possible associated programs. The cost to voters could be much higher.
“Most provisions of the GND (Green New Deal) are so broad and open-ended that the list of potential programs necessary to implement the program is limited by the capacity of legislators to imagine a new government program,” study authors Daniel Turner and Kent Lassman reportedly stated. “Therefore, it is impossible to calculate the whole or maximum cost of the GND. However, other parts of the GND are more precise, sufficiently so that an approximate minimum cost estimate is available.”
The portions that were available to review pointed to Pennsylvania getting stuck with a $2 trillion tab to upgrade residential, and commercial buildings. Florida could expect to get whacked with $1.4 trillion, and New Hampshire ponying up $102.8 billion. And that’s the very nature of a Ponzi scheme, the con artist knows that the mark is going to lose their shirt. But greed — or lust for political power in this case — prompts them to lure and fleece unsuspecting people.
The irony of Sen. Harris expounding on her virtuousness and compassion for low-income Americans is that her hometown of Oakland, California, suffers a violent crime rate that more than doubles the national average, and upwards of five times the national average of property crimes. These are people she already promised great benefits in return for their votes, which she got. In terms of that economic justice, more than 18 percent of people in her hometown are living below the poverty line.
And like any Ponzi scheme runner, once you have taken everything the victim has, move on to the next mark. This time, Sen. Harris has teamed up with AOC to pickpocket millions of American voters. Hopefully, there’s a vacant cell next to Bernie Madoff’s.
