Attorney General William Barr’s long-awaited findings from the Mueller report left the last week of broadcast and cable TV news, radio, internet, and print media awash with pundits’ suggestions as to what our biggest takeaways from that report should be.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his army of mostly left-leaning attorneys spent two years and $25+ million to end up with the over 400-page report on President Trump. Considering the media branded Trump guilty even before Mueller was tasked with the investigation, it’s no wonder their conclusions are far from what can be learned from the actual content of the report.
Here are the top 5 takeaways from the Mueller report for those who don’t trust the mainstream media to tell them the truth or who are tired of the constant anti-Trump spin to every news story.
Spying DID Occur
Senator Chuck Schumer (Dem – NY) was obviously disappointed when AG Barr stated unequivocally before Congress that the Trump campaign was spied on before, during, and after the election. He tweeted on April 10, 2019, “AG Barr admitted he has no evidence to support his claim that spying on Trump ‘did occur.’ AG Barr must retract his statement immediately or produce specific evidence to back it up. Perpetual conspiracy theories are beneath the Office of the Attorney General.”
Despite Schumer’s claim, there is absolute proof that the FBI and other agencies produced bogus requests for FISA warrants. One line in the report reads, “The status of the target [Carter Page] was determined … from information provided by the U.S. Department [next line redacted].”
We have shown in past reporting that the FBI targeted Carter Page based on the politically biased Steele report, who admitted much of the information contained in his document came from message boards. That information is blacked out in Mueller’s public report.
There Was NO Collusion between Trump or the Trump Campaign with the Russians
This includes no collusion with: The GRU, Russia’s military organization, to hack Hillary Clinton’s email accounts or with Wikileaks to publish the Clinton emails. END. OF. STORY.
There Was NO PROOF of Obstruction
It isn’t like Mueller didn’t pull out all the stops to find evidence of obstruction of justice. He couldn’t!
The Trump-hating media is now pushing Democrats to use the Mueller report as grounds for impeachment – not based on collusion but obstruction. Once it became obvious that they couldn’t oust Trump based on collusion they grasped onto the only straw they had left—obstruction of justice.
This shift in narrative makes it apparent that the media just wants President Trump out of office and they don’t care how they accomplish it.
There Was no Indictment of ANYTHING Russia Related
Outside of indictments against Russian officials who Mueller admitted are on the run from justice, Mueller returned not one indictment against an American. All of his indictments against people were for procedural matters, as was the case with General Flynn and George Papadopoulos
Even the high-profile cases of Roger Stone and Paul Manafort have no connection to Trump and Russia.
The Report Disappointed Democrats and the Mainstream Media
From Nancy Pelosi to the “All Russiagate network” otherwise known as CNN, the foregone conclusion was that Donald Trump should fear Mueller’ findings. Liz Wheeler, a TV host and reporter with the OAN Network, said the fact that there’s no evidence the President committed treason and the left is unhappy about it, is in her words, “really messed up.”
Democrats in Congress Refuse to Accept the Truth
Just hours after Barr held his news conference, Democrat Representative Adam Schiff tweeted, “The House Intelligence Committee has formally invited Special Counsel Mueller to testify on the counterintelligence investigation. After a two year investigation, the public deserves the facts, not Attorney General Barr’s political spin.”
Schiff’s comments are ironic considering he has claimed for over a year that he had “proof” President Trump colluded with the Russians. What Mueller had two years to find, Schiff claims he already had.
Schiff provides a picture of the Democrat Party’s state of denial.
Wheeler went onto say, “[Democrats in Congress] have told us for two years that the proof of collusion is right in front of our eyes and they are acting today like Mueller found that proof.”
We can only agree with Wheeler. Show us the proof that Trump is guilty. Mueller, Attorney General Barr, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and anyone who looked with any honesty at the evidence agrees – no such evidence exists.
To say differently is to lie.
The bottom line is that Mueller was specifically tasked with finding evidence collusion between Trump and the Russians. The report’s final word is there is zero evidence for that charge.
With no evidence of collusion, it seems Mueller spent the majority of his time laying the groundwork for obstruction of justice.
That makes it evident, the endgame from the beginning was a hoped-for impeachment.
