Rep Dan Crenshaw: The GOP’s New Star Congressman

You might have heard about Rep. Dan Crenshaw after his appearances on Saturday Night Live. There’s lots to say about the up and coming Republican superstar, but it’s worth talking about the significance of his SNL appearance first.

To set the stage, it’s important to reflect on the nature of the culture war we are currently experiencing. The Left has become the moral outrage mongering voice of our time. They do their best to ruin anyone who transgresses against the progressive liberal narrative. Anyone who can be lambasted in the public square as anything less than a shining paragon of leftist-values is publicly shamed, hounded, and has at least a 50/50 chance of losing their job.

Dan Crenshaw was mocked by SNL for his use of an eye patch. Crenshaw is a war veteran and a Navy SEAL- the latter of which is no small accomplishment. He lost his right eye to an improvised explosive device in the middle east and he wears an eye patch. TO show you just how much of a hero and bad-ass Crenshaw really is know this: even after he lost his right eye and lost much of the sight in his left one he still insisted on being deployed two more times. He only retired from the military in 2016.

SNL and the young comedian who delivered the poor joke about Crenshaw eventually proved himself not to be completely devoid of class. Not long after the segment in which he mocked Crenshaw, the pink-clad young man appeared again to apologize for his cheap attempts at humor. His apology was sincere- by all appearances- and was delivered in a self-effacing and comedic fashion. Crenshaw appeared moments later to accept the apology and to engage in some appearance-bashing of his own.

The segment was amusing and everyone walked away with their dignity intact. It was yet another display of the fact that the right accepts sincere apologies. But it is important to remember that the left does not accept sincere apologies.

When a person offends the left, they are not forgiven when they admit to the offense and apologize. Rather they are pursued further as the useful idiots continue to opportunistically virtue signal at the expense of the offending person. But Dan Crenshaw, in keeping with the spirit of the Conservative movement gracefully accepted the apology and went on to make some pretty funny jokes of his own.

Alright, that was quite a diversion, but we think it’s important to keep track of these points to show that conservatives are acting in good faith- and liberals are not.

So, Dan Crenshaw is a newly elected member of Congress, a former US Navy SEAL, and a rising star in the Republican party- and for good reason. Elected in the hotly contested 2018 midterm elections, Crenshaw is just 34 years old and has made quite a name for himself.

He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Navy and was awarded the Bronze Star, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal of Valor, and the Purple Heart.

Now, here are some important details about his political position history.

Voting Record. Crenshaw voted against all of these bills:

HR 266 – for appropriations for the Dept. of the Interior

HR 265 – the FDA and regulated agencies appropriations act

HR 267 – transportation and HUD Act

HR 264 – appropriations for financial services and general government appropriations

H J Res 1 – continuing appropriations for homeland security

HR 21 appropriations for the fiscal year 2019 and other purposes

What we can learn from this is that Dan Crenshaw is a strong advocate for small government. Again and again, he has voted against appropriations for all of the government agencies that have sought additional funding and power.

He has been endorsed by the Tea Party, the NRA, and the Tea Party Patrols Citizens Fund. He passed the 2018 Political Courage Test and is a strident opponent of abortion. He believes the United States should seek energy independence and has supported realistic flood policies for the Houston area. Crenshaw is a strong advocate for the first amendment, as well as for the education rights of citizens.

On top of being right on so many conservative issues, Crenshaw has proven himself to possess charm, wit, and energy. He is a war hero, and a believer in the right of Americans to be truly free.

If you haven’t heard of him, you can blame the mainstream media for that- because to know him is to love him. You can bet, we will be seeing some great things coming from Dan Crenshaw over the next few years.

  1. Like!! I blog frequently and I really thank you for your content. The article has truly peaked my interest.

    1. This guy sounds like just what the country needs. Maybe Mike Pence should step aside, let this guy run with Donald Trump next term. And become our president after the experience of vice-president and education from our great Commander-in-Chief, Donald John Trump.

  2. I knew he would be good for our Country. He is tough but he sticks to his guns and that is why we need more Veterans as our Representatives.

  3. It is good to have someone GOP in Congress that does not like POrk. Not the kind you eat but the kind that waste taxpayers funds. We work hard and appreciate the money spent wisely. I am sure Dan will excel in other areas too. He sounds very no nonsense.

  4. He’s got my vote after trumps second term. This man can keep our country on track to success. Sorry libtards but, not sorry, you’ve lost your lovin’ feeling

  5. Dan is an American hero. Cortez is a communist. Enough said.

  6. I am very glad we have a Congress Man, with the morals of most decent Americans, Republicans and Trump Voters, because the Democrats, Liberals are ruining this Country each and every time they speak or act. Plus the Liberal News Papers, TV stations and Magazines.

  7. May more veterans rise up like him. We NEED more like Dan at the helm of this country. God bless and PROTECT him in the coming years.

  11. As an American Woman- hard working and a single mother- I’m tired of all the crap going on in this country. It’s all a power play and all about money. Why don’t these elected officials work together to make this country great – again??? We finally have a leader who wants to do this. Now pick up the ball and run Washington !

  12. I have never heard of this man, thank-you, thank-you, for bringing him to our attention…I’m sure the news media, the ones who want to bring this country down, will now start degrading Mr. Crenshaw…Sounds like he has the guts to put up with this lot..Republicans in office had better take a good look at him and start emulating his actions…Most of these Repubs are going to be voted out as they belong in the Dem Swamp….Any one of them who opposes what Pres. Trump is doing should all be voted out of office, NOW…..I will certainly not vote for any of them in the next elections…Keep it up Pres. Trump, you have a good one here on your side, make sure you keep him. God Bless……

  13. It always amazing me how many wussies can makec remarks about our soldiers . Not one of the tinker bells would protect themselves much less their country . Thank God we have real men left . We need more like Dan .,If we had more of his kind the republicans wouldn’t be such a spineless do nothing bunch .

  14. As I sad previously….this is a great man with POTUS potential. Get him in now. Get him some experience. Let President Trump work with him and teach him the ropes. I think by the next election cycle he will be ready to be president! Look out damocrats, a great warrior/statesman is on the way and ready when the present great warrior and president retires.

  15. Dan Crenshaw, will do his job in D C. Support him and President Trump. Freedom is in their hands and ours. Build The Wall!!

  16. It is common to obtain the ornamental painting and sculptures with shapes depicting an interesting mixture
of different aspects of the artist’s religious, physical
and cultural background. After the Bourbon Restoration,
because trial participant of Louis XVI, David was missing out on his civil
right and property, and was instructed to leave his homeland to stay in Brussels where David also completed many
works, and lastly died in a very strange land. It is maybe essentially the most worldwide of mediums,
both in its practice along with its range.
