MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough is at it again. The host of “Morning Joe” has relentlessly attacked President Donald Trump ever since he took office. As if this wasn’t enough, the former United States Congressman, Republican – Florida, is now continuously turning his sights on the President’s supporters. On Monday’s broadcast of “Morning Joe,” the host sanctimoniously questioned the faith of those who voted for Trump.
According to TheBlaze, the inexcusable rant occurred after Scarborough discussed Trump’s honesty with Jon Meacham, a presidential historian. The MSNBC host said, “We’ve been focused so much on Donald Trump. I have to say I think it’s time to start focusing on the people behind him who were applauding at lines that they know are lies.”
He impetuously asked, “Who raised them? What church did they go to growing up? Do they still go to church every week?” As if this hateful line of questioning wasn’t enough, Scarborough relentlessly then suggested Trump supporters are hypocrites for attending church on Sundays and praising the President on Mondays.
The MSNBC host quipped, “Do they go to church on Sundays and then Mondays they applaud somebody beating up the press for asking a question about health care reform?”
Scarborough went on to seemingly rebuke Trump supporters for the way they’re raising their children. Referring to those who stand with the President, he asked, “What do they tell their children at night about the type of character they want them to have?”
Trying to make his point, Scarborough stated, “You see, you can’t cheer about somebody committing assault and battery and beating up somebody and throwing them to the ground. You can’t cheer on lies that you know to be lies and then go home and try to teach your child anything. You just can’t. Because they will see that you are the hypocrite standing behind the president, cheering him on and laughing as he applauds assault and battery, as he lies about the most basic facts, as he tears to shreds one constitutional norm after another.”
In a show of self-righteous indignation, Scarborough continued by saying, “I’m just wondering what do you do when you go home from that [Trump] rally, applauding what’s going — applauding of the lies, applauding the assaults, applauding the abuses, applauding the vulgarities … who are the people that continue to applaud things they know to be lies?”
Regrettably, this wasn’t the first time Scarborough showed contempt for those who voted for President Trump. According to The Wrap, the former United States Congressman also ridiculed Trump supporters on the October 12, 2018 broadcast of “Morning Joe.” The mocking came after the President spent a whirlwind week spiritedly campaigning for Republican candidates competing in the November mid-term elections. Scarborough said the President was making his supporters look stupid with his outrageous lies.
After the MSNBC host played a video clip showing Trump accusing Hillary Clinton of colluding with Russia during the 2016 elections, Scarborough asked, “Who is stupid enough to believe that. I just gotta ask the question? Who is stupid enough to believe that?”
He went on to state, “Who does Donald Trump believe in that audience is so stupid as to believe that? And why does he continue insulting people that spend a lot of time going to his rallies? He’s making fools of them and I feel really bad for them because he is such a snake oil salesman.”
Scarborough’s fiancée, “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski, added to the insults. In a show of support for Scarborough’s remarks, she said, “I’m really glad you said that because I do think he’s using them as pawns. I feel terrible for what he’s doing to these people who are so excited to come to his rally to see the President of the United States and then he uses them like that and makes them look stupid.”
As long as Trump keeps racking up successes, such as building a strong economy and naming two conservative, pro-life Justices to the United States Supreme Court, liberals like Scarborough and Brzezinski will likely became more unhinged. Wallowing in defeat, they’ll continue making baseless attacks against the President and his supporters.
Conservatives should take a stand this November at the ballot box and show the left that attacks against their faith and intelligence won’t be tolerated.
