With a political machine in place that dates back to the 1990s, only Hillary Rodham Clinton could blow an almost certain presidential bid against a reality TV star. But Hillary may just be the gift that keeps on giving as recent messaging points to her running in 2020.
The Democrat field of presidential hopefuls resembles a clown circus. That may be why a top Hillary aide appears to be keeping the door about her political aspirations ajar. In what looks like a contest in buffoonery, top Democrats have repeatedly embarrassed themselves.
New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker faked breaking Senate rules by claiming he was revealing confidential documents during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. Saying it was his “I am Spartacus” moment, only biased media outlets such as CNN bought into it.
Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren recently took the bait of President Donald J. Trump by taking a DNA test to try and prove she was a real Native American. After being repeatedly demeaned by the president, her opponent in Cambridge, and many media outlets, she published the results. Although the Boston Globe was complicit in taking her side, the results show she has less Native DNA than most “white” Americans. These days, even her liberal elite colleagues are gunning for her. And, Native Americans — real ones — have denounced her.
With “Crazy” Bernie Sanders and f-bomb dropping former V.P. Joe Biden also heading the Democrat field in the polls, why not Hillary? Consider some of the more divisive and bizarre tweets the former secretary of state — who slept through the Benghazi Attacks — reportedly published.
“Donald Trump refuses to be subject to the law. The legitimacy of our elections is in doubt. The president is waging war on the truth. The administration is undermining the national unity that makes democracy possible. And then there’s the breathtaking corruption,” she reportedly tweeted.
By corruption does Hillary mean the Whitewater Investigation into the seedy Clinton land deal?
By waging war on truth, does Hillary mean putting out false propaganda about a video instead of owning up to the truth that she told military support to stand down while Americans died at Benghazi?
Perhaps Hillary is speaking to the fact that her campaign colluded with Russians to create a falsified dossier of her political opponent. Yeah, that’s it.
“Whether it was stealing a Supreme Court seat, gerrymandering congressional districts to disenfranchise African Americans, or muzzling government climate scientists, Republicans were undermining American democracy long before Trump made it to the Oval Office,” she reportedly tweeted.
Again, it’s difficult to unpack these tweets. Is Hillary referring to African-Americans being disenfranchised by her husband’s increasing mandatory sentencing that put impoverished African-American in prison for decades? Is she referring to her statement that African-Americans must be “brought to heel?”
Perhaps it was the fact that African-American unemployment reached a staggering 16.5 percent during the Obama Administration. Yeah, that’s it.
“We need to improve and protect our elections, from instituting paper ballot backups to repairing the Voting Rights Act, getting secret money out of politics, and — you won’t be surprised to hear my support for this — abolishing the Electoral College,” Hillary reportedly tweeted.
Hillary certainly has a point here. Democrats such as Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum and his family are under investigation for voter fraud after his brother was allegedly caught using his former address. Gillum’s brother reportedly lives in Chicago but votes in Florida. And Democrats have resisted the president’s voter fraud initiative where some precincts logged more votes than registered voters in the 2016 election. Of course, Hillary was a big fan of the Electoral College, right up until President Trump won more than 300 votes in it.
Coupled with these and many more misgivings is the fact that Hillary refuses to acknowledge her ex-president husband abused his power when carrying on a sexual relationship in the White House with an intern. Despite his being accused and sued for sexual misconduct, all straight, white men are evil in Hillary’s eyes, except philandering Bill.
Despite the avalanche of reasons why this once flawed candidate is wildly unpopular, Hillary and her delusional sycophants appear to be laying the groundwork for a third presidential bid.
In a recent statement, political consultant and Hillary ally Philippe Reines pressed the possibility of her throwing her hat in the ring again.
“It’s curious why Hillary Clinton’s name isn’t in the mix — either conversationally or in formal polling — as a 2020 candidate. She’s younger than Donald Trump by a year. She’s younger than Joe Biden by four years. Is it that she’s run before? This would be Bernie Sanders’ second time, and Biden’s third time. Is it lack of support? She had 65 million people vote for her.” Reines reportedly said. “There’s no one in the Democratic Party who has anywhere near a base of 32 million people. That’s multiples of what a Sanders or a Warren have.”
Hillary and her cronies may not be in touch with reality, but Republicans are looking forward to her adding to the entertainment value of the 2020 Democratic presidential comedy show.
